We recommend you to use an external charger because it offers many advantages:
- it preserves the life of your mod box and your batteries. During charging, a battery will generate a lot of heat. If it is inside the box, it will not be properly ventilated and the temperature can therefore quickly rise in your equipment! Heat and electronics don’t mix. Heat can be very harmful to your batteries as well as your equipment. In the long term, this can even deteriorate and greatly reduce their lifespan.
- If you have a box with double batteries, an external charger will ensure the individual charge of each battery, while a charge via the cable charges the batteries in groups. The charging intensity is therefore divided by 2 when recharging your batteries.
- With an external charger, the batteries charge faster in an external charger than plugged in via the cable. In addition, if you have several batteries, thanks to the external charger you can rotate between your batteries and therefore gain autonomy!
So why do manufacturers continue to provide us with a USB cable if it is not recommended for charging?
- For occasional charging, if you don’t have a battery or charger at hand.
- The electronic boxes are equipped with an integrated mini “operating system”, called firmware, which allows the management of the electronics, the adjustment of the power, and the different modes of vaping, which can be modified or updated thanks to the USB port.
Conclusion
Direct reloading is a workaround. To preserve your equipment, prefer a dedicated battery charger.
The Xtar MC2 charger is indisputable proof that you can have a charger that is powerful, reliable and practical at the same time. This mini model was chosen for its low price and admired for its capabilities.
